In 1995 an influx of over 100,000 refugees flooded across the Thai - Burma border into Thailand as result of fighting in Burma. An extensive outreach of relief aid was provided for upwards of 30,000 of these refugees by our team.

December 26, 2004 an earthquake off the coast of Banda Aceh, Indonesia triggered a tsunami wave that brought devastation to several provinces in southern Thailand. Official counts of over 10,000 dead in Thailand alone.

Abundant Life Foundation was on the scene from the onset and helped feed 2,000 families for 4 ½ months. 835 families were helped to regain their livelihood through fishing nets and equipment supplied and distributed by ALF.

June 2009 the conflict in Myanmar flared up again driving over 4,000 refugees onto Thai soil. Abundant Life Foundation worked in conjunction with local Thai authorities and the Thai military to provide temporary shelter, relief supplies, clothing and food. Supplies were delivered on a regular basis through December 2009 when the refugees were no longer in need of the help.
